Tottenham Hotspur loanee Tanguy Ndombele may have been surrounded by transfer rumours lately, but he may stay exactly where he is.
Even though the midfielder had been struggling to get playing time at Galatasaray, he featured for 90 minutes against Konyaspor at the weekend, and is now praised for his performance.
Turkish newspaper Sabah writes that the Tottenham loanee ‘made good use’ of the chance given to him, and that match should have a heavy weight on his future.
The outlet writes that Ndombele’s exit from Galatasaray has now been put ‘on hold’, especially because he already told the club management he wants to stay there, promising he would recover.
The midfielder had previously been criticised for his physical shape, with local claims saying he was in no condition to help the Istanbul club.
The situation seems to be taking a big turn, though, and that should actually be good news for Tottenham, who won’t need to worry about finding a new destination for him again.
Maybe the 27-year-old can still even convince Galatasaray to trigger the buying option for him down the line…
