Tottenham youngster Alejo Veliz is ‘working hard’ to come back from his injury early and get up and running at loan club Sevilla.
That’s according to AS, who say the striker is showing ‘determination and involvement’ to get going in Spain.
Veliz joined Sevilla on loan at the end of the January transfer window after a frustrating few months at Tottenham following his move in the summer transfer window.
He arrived in a €15m deal from Rosario Central in the summer but has barely featured under Ange Postecoglou to date, particularly with Richarlison rediscovering his old form.
Thus the decision was made to loan him out to Sevilla but he arrived at the Spanish club with a knee strain and so has been unable to feature so far.
He has already recovered from that ahead of schedule and is now ‘working hard’ to be fully fit ahead of schedule.
Indeed, so keen is he to get going that he skipped a 48 hour break handed out to the group by manager Quique Sánchez Flores following back to back wins against Atletico Madrid and Rayo Vallecano.
Instead he, alongside Kike Salas, worked in the gym, demonstrating ‘determination and involvement’ and a desire to be in the squad as soon as possible.
That should come as good news to Tottenham, who will be keen to see their man in action sooner rather than later and find out whether he can make a success of his short stay in Spain until the end of the season.
