Technically contracted to Tottenham, Destiny Udogie is currently spending the season on loan at Udinese, where things have been going well on the pitch.
Signed by Fabio Paratici and Antonio Conte when the pair still worked together at Spurs, the young left-back was sent back to his former club to get the game time he wouldn’t receive this season.
The idea was for him to mature and gain more experience before returning to Tottenham, and while that has happened on the pitch, an incident off it has certainly caught the attention after he crashed his car into a bar on Thursday night, for which he will be fined, according to Udinese, relayed by Sport Mediaset.
Quoting the club’s statement, the outlet explain the player is fine and ‘didn’t report any consequences’ of the crash before training regularly with the Udinese squad.
However, ‘as established by the internal regulation, the player will be fined’ for the incident.
He ‘destroyed the tables and outdoor furnitures’ of a bar when going off the road, and one of the umbrellas also hit a nearby car, shattering its window in the process.
For Tottenham, this is something they will want to keep an eye on, as this is certainly not what they want from one of their players, even if he is currently on loan elsewhere.
