If you like to follow what is going on with the current Tottenham loans, then there is good news from Italy regarding Harry Winks.
The midfielder was sent to the Serie A side for the season in order to get some game time under his belt, as Antonio Conte had few plans for him.
However, what looked like a great opportunity quickly turned into a nightmare for the Tottenham man, who has yet to feature for Sampdoria.
That’s due to an ankle injury, for which he needed surgery, but it appears his rehabilitation is going well, to the point where he travelled to Turkey with the Italian club to train with his teammates during their tour of friendlies.
There was talk that if things didn’t progress as well as hoped, then he could return to Tottenham as early as January, but that doesn’t appear to be the case if Club Doria 46’s latest update is to be believed.
They report that while the player still trained to one side, he did so ‘without feeling pain’, which he has done ‘for the first time’.
That is ‘good news’ for both Sampdoria and the Tottenham man, as he ‘wants to show all his worth’ during the second half of the season.
