Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilón ‘already seems to have found his place’ at Brentford, with optimism abound ahead of the summer transfer window.
AS cover the player today, explaining how the full-back has seemingly found the right place for himself at Brentford following a difficult few years at Tottenham.
The newspaper explains that the defender started the season on loan at Manchester United after arriving on an emergency loan to cover for injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
He knew the deal would be a short-lived one and that proved to be the case, with Manchester United activating a clause to send him back to Tottenham in January.
They eventually sent him to Brentford and, after making his debut on January 20th has found his role becoming ‘more relevant’ with each passing game week.
He’s been putting in sold performances since then and was ‘essential’ in the win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux, even bagging himself an assist.
The belief is that the defender ‘seems to have found his place’ in Thomas Frank’s side and there is optimism that he can be a regular between now and the end of the season.
That’s good news for Tottenham, who are determined to sell him in the summer and had been hoping he would revalue himself on loan at Brentford.
AS believe that is very much on the way to happening and the defender may finally have something positive to hang onto after a difficult few years.
