Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilón will be in Atlético Madrid’s squad for Saturday’s clash with Cádiz, the first time has made it to the group since joining in the summer.
The defender joined the Spanish side on loan in the summer, with Tottenham sending him out as he was not a part of Antonio Conte’s plans.
He arrived at the Wanda Metropolitano injured, with Atlético only agreeing to the deal as Tottenham agreed to pay his wages in full.
Last week we covered a report about he had finally returned to training, prompting hopes he could be back in action sooner rather than later.
It seems he could now make his debut this weekend, with Cope reporting he has been included in the squad list for tomorrow’s clash with Cadiz.
Whether he will feature in the game remains to be seen having not managed a single minute of action so far this season, but is at least good news for Spurs, who will be pleased to see Reguilón is seemingly over his injury issues.
