Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are in the picture to sign OGC Nice star Jean-Clair Todibo, according to a report from France.
Earlier this month, RMC Sport reported the centre-back’s profile is highly regarded at Spurs. They aren’t alone as Chelsea and Napoli are also in the transfer chase.
That’s according to Téléfoot, who state Tottenham, Chelsea and the Serie A winners have all held talks with the 24-year-old’s entourage.
Ange Postecoglou’s side bolstered their defence by signing Radu Drăgușin earlier this month but that hasn’t stopped them from making contact with Todibo’s camp.
The France international has made 15 appearances this season and has been one of the key players for the Ligue 1 side. His deal lasts until 2027 and the report explains that Nice have absolutely no plans to part ways with him in the winter market.
Should the former Barcelona man continue to shine for the French club, Téléfoot, through another post on X, state he could become the ‘biggest sale’ in Nice’s history.
There’s no mention of the fee that Nice could potentially collect from the player’s sale in the future. Their current record sale is at €30m, which they earned when they sold Jean Michaël Seri to Fulham in 2018.
