Ange Postecoglou’s future at Tottenham Hotspur remains uncertain after a disappointing season so far.

Tottenham are currently 16th in the table and can only salvage this season by winning the Europa League. To do that, they first need to overcome Bodø/Glimt in the semi-final next month.

Meanwhile, Spurs have started looking for potential candidates to replace Postecoglou and have Borussia Dortmund’s Niko Kovač in their list.

That’s according to Bild, who state several Premier League clubs are looking at him for next season. They further add one top club have made concrete enquires about the 53-year-old, who dreams of managing in England.

Tottenham are the only one to be mentioned and are particularly keeping an eye on him. The report adds the north London club have also made contact to find out his situation.

Spurs’ bosses see the German’s passion and ‘intense and aggressive playing philosophy’ as a ‘good fit’ for the Premier League. They haven’t made an official approach yet, meaning they haven’t formally contacted BVB, so the contact is likely via an intermediary.

Kovač’s contract at Borussia Dortmund lasts until 2026. They have to pay the manager two-thirds of his salary [€2.5m] if they part ways with him. Bild state this clause won’t be exercised considering BVB are determined to continue with the 53-year-old.

Despite having the Premier League dream and Tottenham leaders appreciating him, Bild add Kovač, for now, is ‘completely unbothered’ about Spurs’ interest.

That could change in coming weeks, especially if Postecoglou is relived from his duties.
