Although the Portuguese press continues to claim Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race for Bruno Fernandes, it doesn’t mean their Premier League rivals don’t stand a chance.

Newspaper Correio da Manhã brings a story today saying Spurs better hurry, because the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United are ‘stalking an opportunity’ to get the 24-year-old.

It’s claimed that even though Mauricio Pochettino’s side are the main ones interested, they are delaying their move a little, as they also plan to sign Giovani Lo Celso and could be selling Christian Eriksen.

Correio da Manhã says that whoever wants Bruno Fernandes will have to pay at least €70m for his signing, otherwise Sporting won’t even open talks for the transfer.

O Jogo also has a story about Fernandes this Sunday, claiming that he’s waiting for clubs to decide what they will do with their stars.

These stars are Christian Eriksen and Paul Pogba, since Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are those named in the article.

With the Nations League ending today, O Jogo says that the player has the ‘doors open’ to finally make his move to the Premier League. Now it’s up to the Spurs to avoid the competition.
