Atalanta’s Franck Kessie has been linked with a move to some of the biggest clubs in Europe. In England, Manchester City are reportedly very keen on signing him, and Kessie has also been linked to Liverpool most recently.
The 19-year-old was reportedly close to signing for Sunderland in the summer, but it didn’t work out due to work permit issues. The latest club to be linked with the player are Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur.
Well stocked in midfield following the signing of Moussa Sissoko at the end of the transfer window, Pochettino has a wealth of options in midfield with flexible players such as Mousa Dembele, Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama.
With six goals and two assists to his name this season, Kessie’s performances have caught the eye of several top European clubs. According to a latest report on Calciomercato, Tottenham have already made a €23m offer for Kessie.
That level offer has been claimed from several clubs and perhaps Pochettino’s men are simply being thrown into the pot.
Juventus are also very keen on the Ivorian midfielder, who has been dubbed as the next ‘Yaya Toure’, and Calciomercato believe the Serie A giants have no intention of ‘letting him slip’ from their hands.
