Earlier today, we covered a report from Italy which said Atalanta midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi has said yes to a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
The transfer, however, still seemed a little far from happening.
That’s because Spurs would like to try a loan with an option to buy, and the Serie A side would rather make an outright sale, currently demanding €20m for his departure.
It turns out this negotiation is today also highlighted by Calciomercato, and according to their report, Tottenham could end up benefiting from Atalanta’s interest in one of Antonio Conte’s players.
It’s said that a ‘double axis’ between the clubs have ‘warmed up’ in the ‘last few hours’.
That’s because the Serie A side, who lost Robin Gosens in January, are in need of a left-back and now follow Sergio Reguilon.
Calcio Mercato points out the difficulties Atalanta would have to sign the Spaniard, especially because of the big wages he receives at Tottenham.
However, it’s also highlighted that Spurs remain ‘strongly interested’ in Malinovskyi, so it’d be no surprise if that helps the club to find a swap.
