Tottenham Hotspur are in the picture to sign Lecce’s Patrick Dorgu, but he dreams of making a switch to Chelsea.
The left-back had already expressed his love for the Blues in the past and doubled down on his Chelsea transfer dream earlier this month.
Chelsea don’t have the 19-year-old on their agenda yet and instead, he’s being chased by their London rivals, Tottenham.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who state Spurs are among the clubs who would compete with Juventus in the race for the defender.
Juve have already asked for information about the Denmark U21 international, as their technical director, Cristiano Giuntoli remains very attentive to young talents in the market.
AC Milan are another Serie A team chasing the youngster, and the two Italian clubs have to clarify their own situations first, before making an approach for Dorgu.
They have to be wary of competition from abroad, where Atletico Madrid and Tottenham are also after him. Tuttosport state the La Liga side are also focusing on a lot of young talents, while Spurs have initiated contact over a potential deal.
It’s explained Lecce invested €200,000 to buy the player and he’s currently valued at €20m.
Lecce technical director Pantaleo Corvino has said his side will be in line for a huge capital gain through Dorgu’s sale, and Tottenham could bring him to London in the summer.
That’s got to be an attractive move, regardless of a childhood love of Chelsea.
