‘Achtung, Bayern!’ shout Bild at the beginning of an article on Chris Führich’s future.

The reason for alarm from the German newspaper is Tottenham Hotspur and their developing interest in the 26-year-old.

According to the report, Tottenham are the latest club to have made contact with regard to a move for the Stuttgart star. There’s no clarity whether the Spurs contact was with the player’s agent or the Bundesliga club.

Führich can move this summer for a fixed clause of €26m, having secured a buyout agreement, something which is becoming increasingly common in German football.

Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund are all said to keen, and it sounds like Vincent Kompany’s new side are planning a deal.

Führich is described as a ‘right-footed player with a strong finishing ability’. He played 38 matches for Stuttgart last season, scoring nine goals and adding seven assists. All of those matches were on the left wing.

Tottenham fans will have a chance to watch him in action for Germany, after he was named in the final squad. Whether Spurs have been dragged in to pressure Bayern into getting a move on is yet to be known.
