Earlier this month, Tuttosport reported Sebastián Cáceres’s agent had held talks with both Tottenham Hotspur and Torino over a potential deal for the Club América star.
The Serie A side have made advances to try to get ahead of Tottenham in the chase to sign the 24-year-old.
Aaccording to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Turin club have already made a €7m offer for the defender.
The Uruguay international’s current deal lasts until December 2024 and his immediate future could be away from Club América.
It’s claimed the Mexican club have put him up for sale and are requesting a fee between €8m and €10m to part ways with the centre-back. Torino’s offer is close to their demand but they still can’t find an agreement.
That’s because there’s competition from the Premier League sides, and from ‘Tottenham in particular’, to acquire the player’s signature.
Ange Postecoglou has publicly asked Spurs to bring in a new centre-back next month and the report indicates they could be keen on the South American.
Therefore, TMW explain that Torino have to act fast, to avoid the ‘risk’ of losing the South American to Tottenham [or another club] in January.
