With Antoine Griezmann moving to Barcelona and Neymar potentially returning, competition for places is extremely high at the Nou Camp these days.

That means some players are considering their future and Malcom is the one at the top of that list.

The Brazilian struggled for game time at the Nou Camp last season and now finds himself in a position where there is even more competition ahead of him.

We covered a report from Cope earlier this week that said the player met with the club and made it clear he wants to leave in search of playing time. Marca backed that up and stated while he hasn’t asked to leave they have discussed potential destinations for him.

Everton and Tottenham were named as suitors and Sport have followed that Spurs interest up today.

They report that Tottenham, as well as Arsenal, are indeed interested and view Malcom as an alternative should their pursuit of Giovani Lo Celso end in failure.

Spurs have been trying to sign the Argentine for much of this summer but so far are yet to meet Real Betis’ €75m asking price. Malcom would come cheaper, although it’s been widely reported that Barca want €60m for him.

For their part, Sport say the La Liga champions are ‘calm’ about selling Malcom because he’s a quality player. Ernesto Valverde would be happy to keep him but the club’s management consider him as the ‘sacrifice’ to open up a foreign player spot for Neymar to occupy.

If he doesn’t return, Malcom will likely stay. If he should depart, Tottenham are an option but they face competition from Inter Milan, AC Milan and particularly Napoli.
