Two days ago, InterLive.it reported Tottenham Hotspur are in the mix to sign Inter Milan’s Marcelo Brozović in the summer.
Barcelona tried signing the midfielder in the winter market and were willing to offer Franck Kessié to the Serie A side in exchange for the 30-year-old. The deal didn’t take shape and the La Liga club are still in the picture to secure his services.
That’s according to Fichajes.net, who state the Catalan club have not forgotten about the player and they are not ruling out a new attempt to sign him in the summer.
Xavi Hernández’s side will have to be aware of competition from Tottenham. It’s explained Spurs are another team to have shown interest in the Croatia international.
In fact, the north London club look at Brozović as the ideal option to boost their midfield next season and provide Antonio Conte with a player he is familiar with. The Italian managed the midfielder when he was at Inter Milan between 2019 and 2021.
Brozović has a contract until 2026 and isn’t keen to leave the San Siro. Inter, on the other hand, must sell some of their key players to improve their finances, and the Croatian is identified as an interesting option due to the interest he has generated from clubs across Europe.
Therefore, Tottenham and Barca would have a chance to sign Brozović after this season.
