Tottenham Hotspur are making an attempt to sign Pablo Torre from Barcelona, according to claims from the Catalan media.

The information is brought by outlet ENoticias.cat, who report that Spurs are interested in the youngster and already placed a bid for him.

It’s said Tottenham ‘completely unexpectedly’ offered €30m for the signing, and even though there’s no decision on that yet, it’s ‘not ruled out’ that he could move to the Premier League.

The report points out that Spurs continue trying to reinforce their squad with youngsters, as following the signing of Lucas Bergvall, they could be landing the ‘new Pedri’ from Barcelona.

Torres is currently loaned by Barça to Girona, where he has one goal and two assists in 24 appearances this season.

His contract with Barcelona runs until 2026, and he’s protected by a €100m release clause, even though he’s valued by Transfermarkt at just €3m.

We must say this is a quite surprising rumour, especially with claims of a big offer being already made, and it should be no surprise if it’s all some noise to hype the 21-year-old.
