On Thursday, we covered the latest from Italy in Tottenham’s search for a new manager, which came with the mention of Maurizio Sarri being a candidate.

Spurs have been searching for Antonio Conte’s replacement since they sacked him, but unlike others around them, they are yet to be successful.

Il Quotidiano bring their information on the situation on Friday, backing up claims that Tottenham are keen on the former Blues manager, who won the Europa League during his time there.

In fact, they state that Spurs are ‘in the front row’ to get him, alongside Everton, while the hypothesis of him heading to Newcastle is a ‘bit more secluded’ due to all the success happening under Eddie Howe.

Tottenham certainly represent the likeliest option out of those three, and a lot could depend on whether Lazio can meet Sarri’s demands.

It’s said that the manager is asking for ‘at least 4-5 signings’ from his current club to carry on his work there, and if they can’t deliver, he might have to look elsewhere.

That’s when Daniel Levy could be waiting for him in London, although whether he wants a new adventure in England remains to be seen.
