As much as many Tottenham fans insist it must be nonsense, claims on the club’s interest in Adrien Rabiot refuse to go away, and have built further in recent days.

On Sunday, PSG source Paris United publish an article saying Spurs are ‘forcing’ the transfer and making a real effort to get a deal done.

They state Tottenham have now sent an offer to PSG, but don’t reveal how much that is. For Rabiot, the Premier League club are said to have offered wages as well.

The club would pay a salary of €7.5m, which Paris United say is ‘huge’ by the club’s standards, plus a signing on fee of €5m.

They’re using Serge Aurier and Lucas Moura to try and convince their former PSG teammate to make the move.

Not for the first time it’s claimed Mauricio Pochettino is very involved, with the Tottenham manager having spoken to Rabiot to help smooth a move through.

PSG have good relations with Spurs, and it’s said to club ‘favour’ a departure there.

Chelsea, Liverpool and Barcelona are also presented as keen.
