For the past couple of weeks, the Italian media had several stories claiming Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Genoa winger Albert Gudmundsson.
It’s been claimed that Spurs have been watching him and are one of the clubs with the the best chance of winning the race for the 26-year-old.
Now as Tuttosport features a story on Gudmundsson’s future, it seems like Tottenham will have some tough competition to get him signed in the summer.
That’s all because Genoa are interested in Bianconeri youngster Enzo Barrenechea, who’s currently on loan at Frosinone. So the Old Lady could use that as a way to find a deal for Gudmundsson in the next transfer window, getting a major discount in the deal.
That’s not such a guaranteed operation, though, because the Argentine youngster has been drawing big attention lately, including from Spain and England, so Juventus may be convinced to sell him elsewhere if a better offer arrives.
That way, they’d be face to face with Tottenham for Gudmundsson. The attacker, who has 11 goals and three assists this season, is now valued by Transfermarkt at €13m, but could see his price rise depending on the battle for his signing.
