The Italian media are constantly talking about targets Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici have lined up in Serie A, and the targets are usually from the bigger clubs there.
Tottenham Hotspur’s manager is known to be demanding and wants backing so he can achieve his ambitious goals. That’s seen Spurs linked with the likes of Juventus’ Weston McKennie and AS Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo over the past week.
Now an interesting claim comes from SerieBNews, who report Tottenham are also looking at a player from the second division. According to the article, Spurs are targeting ‘super bomber’ Walid Cheddira.
The 24-year-old, who was born in Italy but is a Morocco international, has already played for seven clubs in his career. He’s currently with Bari, who are fifth in Serie B.
So far this season he’s scored 13 goals in 13 games, as well as providing five assists along the way. A potential transfer fee is put at around €15m, and it’s insisted Bari wouldn’t want a January sale as they’re focused on winning promotion to Serie A.
Bari is run by Luigi De Laurentiis, son of Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis, and it’s suggested the Naples club could also look to move for Cheddira.
