Tottenham Hotspur have agreed deals with Ivan Perišić and Fraser Forster, and the duo will arrive at the north London club as free agents.
Spurs are expected to be busy in the rest of the transfer window, and Atalanta’s Joakim Mæhle is one of the targets for Antonio Conte’s side.
Earlier this month, Denmark sealed a 2-1 win over Austria, and the English club sent scouts to Vienna. It was said that Spurs officials watched the right wing-back in action for his country.
This week’s edition of Tipsbladet has a piece discussing Danish players who could change clubs. The Serie A man is included in the list and only Conte’s side are mentioned as a ‘possible destination’.
It’s claimed Spurs have ‘expressed an interested’ in the 25-year-old, while the Italian club do not have an intention to sell him this summer.
Gian Piero Gasperini used the former Genk man as a starter in the league on 15 occasions last term.
If the Atalanta coach can ‘use Mæhle a little more often’, Tipsbladet suggest then it could be a good place for him to stay.
However, if Tottenham or another club offer 150-200m krone [€20-26.7m] to Atalanta, then a sale ‘cannot be ruled out’. Tipsbladet have set a 30 percent probability for Mæhle to join a new club in the ongoing window.
