It wouldn’t really have been a transfer window without Tottenham and Everton being linked to Andriy Yarmolenko.
It’s a tradition which has been kept up for a number of years, and, to avoid breaking that, The Sun have obliged with an exclusive saying Tottenham and Everton, joined by Stoke City, are ‘waiting in the wings’ to make a move.
With it being so close to the end of the transfer window, a Yarmolenko move would be incredibly difficult to pull off. Even with two weeks left it would be tricky so, given there’s only two days, this one looks close to impossible.
The Ukraine media have picked up the claims, and Gazeta says Tottenham or Everton would have to pay €12m, which may just be a poor currency conversion from The Sun’s article.
There doesn’t appear to be a great deal of worry that the player could leave Dynamo Kyiv before the window shuts, and he’s repeatedly stated himself that when he does leave it will be in a calm and respectful way.
This will all be dragged up again for Tottenham and Everton around about May. Mauricio Pochettino is routinely linked to wide attackers, and Ronald Koeman has a bigger kitty than Everton have enjoyed in recent history.
