According to claim in the Turkish media, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton have held talks over the possibility of signing Besiktas forward Cenk Tosun.

The 26 year old has been in impressive form for the Turkish champions this season, and he’s also been linked with Newcastle United and Crystal Palace in recent weeks.

Haberturk have today reported Tottenham and Everton are the latest Premier League sides to show an interest in Tosun, following his man of the match performance against AS Monaco last week.

It’s been revealed both Tottenham and Everton recently travelled to Germany to hold initial talks with the player’s father Senol Tousn, who’s also the forward’s agent.

The Turkish news outlet has gone as far to say Tottenham could be lining up Tosun if Harry Kane was to sign for Real Madrid, which sends everything on a new tangent and is almost certainly an unrelated issue.

Everton’s woes in attack this season have been well documented, with former manager Ronald Koeman saying this week they never replaced Romelu Lukaku.
