Two days ago, Foot Mercato reported Tottenham Hotspur’s Davinson Sánchez is a serious option for Rennes. It was also stated the Premier League side want €10-12m to part ways with the defender.

The centre-back’s deal expires in 2024 and wants a move away from Spurs before the window closes.

That’s according to today’s L’Equipe, who state the 27-year-old is now ‘looking for a new challenge’ after spending six years at Tottenham.

The Ligue 1 side could become an option for the former Ajax man as they are in the market looking for a new centre-back.

It’s claimed the Colombia international’s arrival at Rennes would ‘bring experience’ to their defence, which they are currently sorely lacking.

L’Equipe add it would cost the French club around €12m to take the South American away from Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Rennes aren’t the only club chasing him as Hürriyet reported on Monday that Galatasaray still have Sánchez on their agenda.

The defender came off the bench to replace injured Cristian Romero in his side’s 2-2 draw against Brentford and was an unused substitute in Spurs’ win over Manchester United.
