A few days ago, Tottenham were mentioned as a potential destination for Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi.

It was reported that Fabio Paratici, who still has a say at Tottenham despite a football-wide suspension, is pushing the London club to move for his compatriot at the end of the current season.

More has now emerged from Italy about Inzaghi’s situation.

InterLive have reported today that Ange Postecoglou’s job at Tottenham is under heavy threat and a failure to beat Manchester United at the weekend could lead to his sacking.

They again point out that Inzaghi is one of the candidates to become the next Spurs manager, with Daniel Levy’s side willing to offer a ‘rich contract’ to lure the Italian to the Premier League. The under-fire Tottenham chairman could also be willing to give Inzaghi full control over transfers, likely with Paratici’s help.

The feeling is that Inter’s market strategies will impact their manager’s stay at the Nerazzurri and if things are not in line with Inzaghi’s vision, he could look to depart.

The report also believes that Marcus Thuram is of interest to Tottenham and in the summer Inter would want a fee of over €80m to let him leave. The feeling is that Spurs would be able to afford that amount.
