Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs chasing Torino star Gleison Bremer, with his coach admitting he ‘will leave’ this summer.

That’s according to Sport Mediaset and Calciomercato.it, the latter of whom say Tottenham have ‘followed him’ for some time.

Bremer has emerged as one of the best defenders in Europe this season with a series of impressive performances for the Italian side.

All of the top clubs in Europe are believed to be keen on him, including Tottenham, who were said to be pushing ‘strongly’ to get him in a report last month.

CM.it pick up on that today and say Bremer’s name has ended up in the notebooks of all the top clubs, and it is ‘really important’ to take note of the interest from Tottenham, who have ‘followed him’ too.

A farewell from Torino is now ‘certain’, and the confirmation has come from his own manager, Ivan Juric.

“I think Bremer will leave,” Sport Mediaset report him saying today at a press conference.

“Mandragora and Pobega are on loan, and we have to see; if you want Praet, you have to pay 15 million, and it is inevitable that there are problems: this, however, can also be a great opportunity for the club.”

Whether Bremer ends up at Spurs, though, remains to be seen. The competition for his signature is fierce afterall.

Their interest goes back a while and they have initiated contacts to try and get a deal done, so there is that in their favour.

The race is going to be a tough one, though, and they’ll have to make a compelling argument to convince the player, who looks set to have a slew of offers on the table, to join them.
