Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit for Atalanta midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi continues to be reported in the Italian media, this time with a story saying Spurs are taking real action to get the signing done.
Outlet Il Giorno writes that the London side are one of the Premier League clubs who want the player in the January transfer window. And they may have already taken the first steps to get ahead of the competition.
Tottenham are ‘now moving’ for Malinovskyi and already contacted Atalanta GM Lee Congerton, who worked for British clubs for years.
The midfielder is living a complicated situation at Atalanta because of the little playing time he’s been getting lately, and even his wife took to social media to complain about it.
Il Giorno points out Malinovskyi has a market value of around €15m and Atalanta are unlikely to give a big discount, so Tottenham should be prepared to pay that.
The battle to bring him to the Premier League, however, should be big, as Nottingham Forest and West Ham United are said to be interested in the player as well.
