Tottenham Hotspur could make a new attempt for the signing of Gerard Deulofeu, according to reports from Italy.
Outlet Mondo Udinese today starts by recalling that Spurs already tried to land the player in January, when trying to reinforce Antonio Conte’s squad.
The website claims Tottenham have ‘no financial problems’, and just like they could’ve ‘satisfied’ the Serie A side in January, they could do it again in the summer.
Mondo Udinese says ‘the situation could arise’ one more time, especially because his contract situation favours a move this time.
Since Deulofeu’s deal with the Italian club expires in an year, it’s said the club could feel more pressured to sell, and but they certainly won’t be able to repeat the €20m request they made to Napoli last summer.
That can only be good news for Tottenham, who should be able to land the 29-year-old at an even cheaper price this time.
The winger has three goals and seven assists in 18 appearances for Udinese this season.
Due to a knee surgery, he’s been sidelined for a while, and there are doubts whether he’ll still be able to perform for the club before the summer.
