Tottenham Hotspur lead the race for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to reports from the Serbian media.

As outlet Sport Klub features a story with the latest updates on the 21-year-old, they say that from the entire list of clubs fighting for his signing, the player is ‘closest’ to moving to the London side.

It’s said that even though Juventus were linked to Vlahovic for a long time, they’re still to make a concrete move and are considered to have given up on the operation. Especially because they must sell players before making such a big move, and La Viola aren’t interested in a swap.

And even though other clubs such as Atletico Madrid and Milan both entered the shortlist for the signing, it’s said it’s only Tottenham who could meet Fiorentina’s €60m evaluation of the player.

Spurs are described as the ‘most serious candidates’ for the deal, with SK pointing out this is their own information.

At the start of the week, it had already been claimed by the Italian media that Atletico Madrid, Milan and Tottenham had all placed offers for the striker, even though it wasn’t clear if any of them had met Fiorentina’s demands.

Now with this certainty from the Serbian press regarding Spurs’ strength, perhaps it was Fabio Paratici who made the best bid.
