Tottenham Hotspur have joined the chase for FC Copenhagen’s Roony Bardghji, according to a report from Denmark.
The winger has scored 11 goals from 30 games this season and it includes a winner against Manchester United in the Champions League last month.
BT state Bardghji has been closely followed by several top European clubs and Tottenham are included in this list.
It’s claimed the north London club are a ‘big suitor’ of the 18-year-old and are expected to provide competition to Chelsea to acquire his signature.
The Sweden U21 international’s deal expires in December 2025. The prospect of a bidding war between the Premier League duo has made Copenhagen dream of a club-record sale, currently held by Victor Kristiansen’s sale to Leicester City for 150m kroner [€20.1m].
BT are also of the belief the attacker could be the Superliga’s new record sale, surpassing the 187m kroner [€25m] paid by Lyon to sign Ernest Nuamah earlier this year.
Copenhagen have postponed the renewal talks and the focus is on ‘making a huge sale’ in the next two windows.
Tottenham are showing interest in the attacker and the possibility of a bidding war with their London rival has seen the Danish club rub their hands.
BT add the player is in London ‘these days’ [as per his Instagram profile] and they aren’t aware if it has to do anything with a potential switch to England.
