As Andrea Belotti’s contract with Torino expires in the next year, it looks like we could have the end of a saga which has been ongoing for a few seasons now.

The Serie A side should soon feel forced to sell the striker in case they can’t agree a new contract with him, and in case the transfer happens, there’s a long list of clubs who’ve been waiting for it.

Tottenham Hotspur are one of them, according to a report from Tuttosport today.

The outlet names Spurs as one of the Premier League clubs whose monitoring remains ‘constant’ on the striker’s situation in Italy, along with other sides who ‘have straight antennas and swollen wallets’.

It shouldn’t be an easy task for Tottenham in case they decide to go for Belotti’s signing, as the competition includes the likes of Napoli, Roma, Fiorentina, Inter Milan, Lyon and especially AC Milan. The Rossoneri have the striker’s affection, and recent deals with Torino could mean they’re preparing for his move in the summer.

Tuttosport doesn’t mention Belotti’s price this time, although he’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €40m. He has 12 goals and six assists in Serie A this season.

Since the 27-year-old is clearly the type of player who’d compete for a place with Harry Kane, it’d be no surprise to see Tottenham only spending that much money in case the English star leaves the club this summer.
