Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford have Parma’s Mandela Keita on their radar.
That’s according to TuttoMercatoWeb, who cover the latest on Tottenham, Aston Villa, Brighton and Brentford.
Spurs have been keeping a close watch on the midfielder in recent months. Sport Witness relayed news in December that Tottenham sent a scout to watch him live in action.
Last month, we covered claims from Italy that the ‘Premier League awaits him’ and the north London club and Aston Villa named as his suitors.
Brighton and Brentford have now joined Tottenham and Unai Emery’s side in the chase for the 23-year-old.
Last weekend, the Belgium international played the full 90 minutes in the Serie A side’s goalless draw against Fiorentina. The defensive midfielder starred against La Viola and his form this season is attracting interest from Italy and England.
Mandela Keita sees interest grow
TMW, who make it clear it’s their own information, claim Bologna have long been keeping tabs on Keita. Their sporting director, Giovanni Sartori, seems to be leading the pursuit.
The report adds that Premier League sides’ officials were in attendance at Fiorentina’s home stadium at the weekend. TMW tags Tottenham, Aston Villa, Brighton and Brentford, without specifying whether scouts from these clubs watched Keita.
Inter Milan are another Italian club that have the Belgian on their agenda for some time but haven’t made a move.
TMW’s title say Premier League and Serie A sides are ‘lining up’ for Keita. It’s probably too early to indicate whether Spurs, Aston Villa, Brighton or Brentford will make advances to sign him in the summer.
The outlet states ‘he’ll be a major player in the transfer market’. This indicates Keita could change clubs after this season.
Keita’s contract and value
Parma signed him from Royal Antwerp in August 2024, and he played 2,063 minutes from 32 games last season.
His game time has already improved this season as Keita has played 2,375 minutes from 30 matches so far.
The Belgian has a contract until 2029 and Transfermarkt values him at €12m. His highest value was €13m in April 2024. The price is most likely to rise if there’s a bidding war for his signature in the summer.
Mandela Keita is represented by World In Motion agency, who have multiple clients in English football.
