In need of a centre-back during the January transfer window, Tottenham didn’t waste any time and pushed to sign Radu Dragușin from Genoa.
The Romania international made his debut in the game against Manchester United, but it certainly appears as if Ange Postecoglou wants even more help at the back.
This one might wait for the summer, but Il Resto Del Carlino, relayed by Tutto Bologna Web, are reporting that Tottenham are thinking about Bologna’s Riccardo Calafiori.
The 21-year-old has been one of the stars of Thiago Motta’s side since his €4m arrival from Basel towards the very end of the transfer window, and he has attracted a lot of attention.
The newspaper explain a number of clubs, including Tottenham, are ‘watching him a lot and asking about him’.
Alongside Spurs, Juventus, AC Milan, and Napoli are present, and it’s believed to be a deal that could get ‘a lot of discussion in the summer’.
For now, however, his place is in Bologna, where he will have to focus on continuing his performances until the end of the campaign, as his team are in a surprising seventh in Serie A these days, picking up 32 points from their first 20 games.
