Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal continue to be named as Julian Brandt’s suitors from the Premier League.
Earlier this month, Bild stated Spurs and the Gunners are ‘hot’ for the Borussia Dortmund star. It was also explained a switch to England would appeal to him.
The attacking midfielder has impressed this season, managing nine goals and five assists from 32 matches. His form has seen him change his situation at BVB since he was considered as an exit candidate last summer.
That’s according to Deutsche Welle, who also mention about both Tottenham and Arsenal wanting the Germany international.
The ex-Bayer Leverkusen player has a contract expiring in 2024 and the Bundesliga side may no longer have him in their ranks after this season. That’s because Spurs and Mikel Arteta’s side are ‘very interested’ in securing his services.
With the two English clubs keen on signing the player, BVB will have to make ‘great efforts’ [financially] to keep the 26-year-old beyond his current deal.
Meanwhile, Brandt is in an ‘excellent position’ and can be relaxed when deciding whether to sign an extension at Dortmund or make a move elsewhere in the summer.
