Adrien Rabiot’s contract at Paris Saint-Germain will expire next summer.
Reports in France claims the Ligue 1 winners’ president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi will hold a final meeting with his mother and agent, Veronique Rabiot, to prevent the midfielder from leaving as a free agent after this season.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Frenchman is expected to leave Parc des Princes based on the current situation and journalist Miguel Rico claims Tottenham Hotspur have emerged as a credible ‘possible destination’ for the 23-year-old.
The north London club, who decided against making any additions to their squad in the summer, have approached the PSG star.
Thomas Tuchel’s side have until the end of this month to convince the player to commit his future beyond this season to the French capital club and a failure to do so will allow him to negotiate with clubs outside his country from January 1st.
If Spurs manage to secure Rabiot’s signature, he could replace Mousa Dembele, who is expected to leave the club as a free agent.
Barcelona and Juventus are the other two clubs rumoured to be interested in the PSG midfielder.
