Tottenham Hotspur are the latest club to join Juventus and Arsenal in chasing Sassuolo’s Manuel Locatelli.
The Gunners wanting the midfielder was confirmed earlier and the Serie A side’s chief, Giovanni Carnevali, has again reiterated Arsenal are still in the picture to sign the 23-year-old. However, the player’s preference is to join the Old Lady.
“On Friday we will talk with Juve, it is not certain that we will meet but we will do so soon and in the next few days, time is running out,” Carnevali told Sky Italia.
“There is also a discussion with Arsenal and another English club.”
Calciomercato.it have relayed claims made by Carnevali and state the Turin club are finding it difficult to find an agreement with the Italy international’s employer.
The website also focuses on the Sassuolo chief’s quote, stating that an unknown English side have joined Arsenal in chasing the Euro 2020 winner.
According to Calciomercato.it, Spurs are that club and their arrival to the scene makes the operation even more complicated.
Juventus, for their part, will not let go of Locatelli since he’s keen to join the Turin club this summer.
