Tottenham and Aston Villa are keen on signing Fiorentina’s Michael Kayode in the summer window, according to Viola News.
On June 24th, Corriere Fiorentino reported Tottenham are the biggest threat for the Serie A side to retain the 19-year-old.
Later that day, Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà stated Aston Villa are expected to return with an improved bid after Fiorentina rejected their initial offer of €15m for the right-back.
The Italy U21 international made 37 appearances last season and his performances haven’t gone unnoticed, especially in the Premier League.
It’s claimed both Tottenham Unai Emery’s side tabled proposals for the fullback. The exact figures offered by these two clubs aren’t mentioned, but the report says it was less than €20m, and both bids were rejected by Fiorentina.
According to Viola News, the Italian club ‘can only be tempted’ to sell Kayode for around €25m including bonuses.
Last Saturday, Corriere dello Sport reported a fee of around €30m may not be enough to take Kayode away from Fiorentina.
Viola News brings the asking price lower than that, and Tottenham and Aston Villa have to increase their offers by at least €5m to sign Kayode this summer.
