Tottenham are in ‘advanced’ negotiations with Barcelona and Ansu Fati about a loan deal after the winger changed his mind regarding an exit from the Camp Nou.
That’s according to Marca, who say Fati has now decided to leave the Catalan club after insisting throughout this summer that he would not.
The newspaper explains that the player no longer wants to continue at Barcelona and is in talks with several clubs about his departure in the last three days of the market.
In fact, negotiations are ‘advanced with Tottenham’, but they are not the only club who are interested in him at this moment in time.
The intention for all parties is for him to leave Barcelona on loan, according to Marca’s information, and for the receiving team to assume the entirety of the player’s wages.
Fati’s decision has ‘caused astonishment’ at Barcelona since until yesterday he had been against a change of scenery.
The belief is that the pressure from his entourage has influenced him and, as a result, he is now negotiating with clubs and ‘especially with Tottenham.
Thus, at the moment, his continuity at Barcelona is in danger and there is every chance he will depart before the transfer window closes.
