Tottenham Hotspur are pushing for Milan Škriniar in the final days of the ongoing transfer window.

According to FcInterNews, Spurs have not tabled an official offer, but are working to get closer to Inter Milan’s demands.

The north London club were hoping to bring the Slovakia international to the Premier League for around €35m. This figure is short of the fee requested by the Nerazzurri.

The Serie A side, who initially demanded €60m, which is completely unreasonable, are ready to accept €50m plus bonuses to sanction the defender’s sale… that’s also very unlikely.

Fulham like Juan Foyth and José Mourinho’s side are working to sell the Argentine for €10m. Tottenham plan on collecting funds from Foyth’s sale to make an offer for Škriniar.

It’s claimed Spurs are set to ‘advance with an official offer of €45m’ in the next two to three days. The addition of bonuses could be sufficient to convince Inter to accept their proposal.

For Škriniar, a five-year contract worth €5m net per season is ready at the English club. Despite the ‘very tempting’ offer, his heart is still in Milan as he wanted to to continue at the San Siro for a long time.

However, the 25-year-old is no longer untouchable under Antonio Conte, and Tottenham are pushing for his signing.

Despite the claims of €60m being wanted, for weeks it’s been reported in Italy that €40m could be enough, so if Inter feel they can trick Daniel Levy into paying an inflated fee they’re likely mistaken.
