After a few stories from Spain that Valencia could be interested in Matteo Darmian, two other Manchester United players have been added as potential targets for the La Liga side: Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini.
This is what SuperDeporte are reporting on Thursday, claiming the pair have been ‘considered’ by the Spanish club for the summer, as their situations are favourable to their transfer plans.
The Belgian midfielder is out of contract in the summer, and reportedly has a number of clubs after his services should he not renew at Old Trafford.
As for Ander Herrera, the 28-year-old has one year left on his current deal with the Red Devils and, prior to his injury against Sevilla, had only started eight league games under José Mourinho.
To say he is indispensable to the Portuguese manager would be stretching the truth a bit, and it remains to be seen if Manchester United will be willing to offer him an extension or end up selling him if a good offer comes along in the summer.
One thing, however, is becoming clearer and clearer, and that’s José Mourinho’s side being very busy in the transfer market once the current campaign comes to an end, both in terms of arrivals and departures.
