Manchester United may need to make their decision on Sofyan Amrabat now as Jose Mourinho and his new club Fenerbahce push to sign the Moroccan.
Tuttomercatoweb report that the Turkish side are ‘serious about Amrabat’ this summer and have pushed forward talks to do so today.
They explain that Amrabat has recently returned from his holidays to Florence to link up with Fiorentina after Manchester United decided not to turn his loan deal into a permanent move with the option they had to do so.
He is not expected to remain with the Serie A side, though, having expressed a desire to return to Manchester United if he can. They, in turn, have shown some interest in having him back but not pushed to make that happen as yet.
TMW say there are now other suitors at the window and in the last few hours it is Fenerbahce who are ‘coming forward with the most force’.
Mourinho is keen to keep strengthening his squad this summer as the club progress in the early stages of the Champions League and look to win the Super Lig title again.
The last few hours have seen contacts between the various parties involved and it is Mourinho who is pushing to have the player and hopes to provide the decisive push to make that happen.
Whether he is successful remains to be seen but it does mean Manchester United now need to make their choice as Amrabat has other options and no need to wait around.
