The Colombian media is starting to sound confident that Jhon Durán will leave Aston Villa for Chelsea this summer.

Back at the start of the week, journalist Guillermo Arango wrote on Twitter that there’s an agreement between the clubs.

It was claimed Aston Villa and Chelsea have a deal for a €50m transfer, and the Blues are now discussing personal terms with him.

Now it’s Luis Fernando Restrepo who, also on Twitter, claims that Durán should be on his way to Stamford Bridge.

It’s stated that following Arango’s news, he got confirmation from London that the move is on the way.

Restrepo uses the good old ‘tick tock’ to show that things are moving for the transfer to be completed soon.

With only the Colombian media sounding that positive about the transfer right now, we all know where this information is likely coming from.

Representing Aston Villa this season, Durán had eight goals in 37 appearances. He’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €20m, but at 20 years old, may be moving for a lot more.
