Three Spanish clubs have made contacts to sign Leonardo Ulloa from Leicester City, according to Marca today.
The Spanish newspaper claims Betis, Levante, and Getafe are all interested in signing the striker, who they say is currently negotiating a new contract with the Foxes.
It’s claimed that there’s a big interest from Spanish clubs to take Ulloa back to La Liga, which includes Alavés’ attempt to sign him in the January window. But Leicester’s demands were too high, and that’s why other clubs such as Swansea City and Sunderland also failed to land the Argentine.
Strangely, Marca state Ulloa’s contract with Leicester City expires in 2018, but due to a FIFA clause, he can leave in August in case he doesn’t reach an agreement. They don’t make it clear which clause this is, and as far as we know, he can only sign a pre-contract after January, when there will be six months left on his deal.
