Ligue 1 trio Marseille, Stade Rennais and LOSC Lille are all eyeing a potential move for Tottenham midfielder Pape Matar Sarr this summer.
That’s according to Le 10 Sport, who say Spurs are ‘yet to decide’ on the midfielder’s future and what to do with him in this window.
They explain that Sarr has ‘failed to establish himself’ at Tottenham since his arrival from Metz in a €16.9m deal in August 2021.
He barely featured for Tottenham last season and the idea of a loan deal for next season is ‘being considered’ by those in charge at Spurs and his representatives.
Three Ligue 1 clubs, Marseille, Stade Rennais and Lille are ‘already interested’ in a potential move for him, with Pablo Longoria at Marseille ‘very fond of his profile’.
Marseille’s recruitment team are keeping a close eye on the mater but so are Rennes and Lille, who are also ‘on the lookout’ and considering a move.
They have ambitions of competing at the top of Ligue 1 and, like Marseille, can offer European football to boot.
Tottenham are yet to decide on what they want to do, but as soon as the approve the possibility of a loan deal, the three Ligue 1 clubs will make their move and the battle will begin.
