David Silva’s contract at Manchester City expires in 2020 and he’s already confirmed his decision to leave the Etihad after this season.
The Spaniard will turn 34 next month and can join a new club as a free agent next summer. Despite his age, he is still attracting interest, but from clubs outside Europe.
On November 20th, we carried a report from Calciomercato, who explained Japanese clubs Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo and Vissel Kobe are thinking about the former Valencia man.
The same Italian website now claims three clubs are chasing the City star and one of them in Consadole Sapporo. The other two are David Beckham’s new franchise Inter Miami and FC Tokyo.
The upcoming Major League Soccer side had already been credited with an interest in the 33-year-old. There were even reports suggesting Silva has agreed to join them, but it was denied by his entourage in September.
Calciomercato’s report brings them again into the mix as Inter Miami, along with Consadole Sapporo and FC Tokyo ‘like’ the player.
Silva will enter his final six months of his City contract in January and that’s when club’s outside England can sign a pre-contract with him.
