Pedro Porro is waiting for Tottenham Hotspur to secure their second win in the Champions League this season.

The Spain international was a guest on Cadena Ser‘s El Larguero and analysed his role in the national team and his situation at Tottenham.

Porro has been the first choice right-back for Thomas Frank at Tottenham this season and has played 1,087 minutes from 13 matches.

Cadena Ser claim the 26-year-old is enjoying life at the north London club, who made it to the Europe’s elite club competition by winning the Europa League last season.

Spurs finished 17th in the league last season and last month, Porro said his side deserve to be in the Champions League. They started this competition with a win over Villarreal, courtesy of an own goal from Villarreal goalkeeper Luiz Júnior.

Tottenham then drew against Bodø/Glimt and AS Monaco.

The fullback said he questioned Spurs’ mentality and also issued a warning after their goalless draw against the Ligue 1 side.

“We’re not in a bad situation, but let’s hope the second win comes,” he said.

“The other day in the draw against Monaco, I said it in the dressing room: we don’t have the right mentality, and in this competition, they run you over and you don’t even realise it.”

The English club host FC Copenhagen on November 4th. They are currently 15th in the Champions League table, a point behind eighth placed Newcastle United.
