As Juventus continue to have problems in their midfield, Tottenham Hotspur player Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg keeps getting mentioned as a solution for the winter market.
At the weekend, the Bianconeri paid a visit to AC Milan, and once again, struggled with their options in the middle of the park, hit by the suspensions of Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli.
As Gazzetta Dello Sport today writes about Juventus’ hunt for a new midfielder or two, Hojbjerg is named once again.
The outlet highlights how the player was ‘relegated in the hierarchies’ of Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham, and that’s set to give the Old Lady a bigger chance in the negotiations.
‘There’s already been contact’, Gazzetta says, also recalling that the Serie A side sent scouts to watch the player in action with Denmark in the international break.
Juventus are said to be working to ‘soften’ Tottenham’s stance on Hojbjerg. Spurs’ evaluation is said to be of around €30m, and the Bianconeri obviously want to pay less.
Manager Cristiano Giuntoli spoke to DAZN following the weekend’s match, and quizzed about signings, he said: “Market? If there are the right opportunities, we will evaluate them in January.”
