On July 8th, RMC Sport reported that Everton are expected to offer in excess of €35m for Barcelona’s Malcom.

Four days later, we covered claims from Mundo Deportivo, who explained the La Liga winners never received a proposal from the Toffees, but they backed up the Merseyside club’s interest in the winger.

Journalist Miguel Rico, writing on the last page of today’s edition of Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo claims ‘the amigos at Everton’ and an unknown Premier League side are after the Brazilian.

So far, Ernesto Valverde’s side have not received any official offer for the 22-year-old, but Everton and Arsenal have joined an unnamed club from England to informally ask about the wideman.

Malcom is now considered ‘transferable’ for Barca, who are asking for an ‘unusual’ transfer fee of €60m. The fee demanded by the Blaugrana is €19m more than what they paid to Bordeaux last summer.

Rico mentions Everton as a ‘friend’ of Barcelona due to the relationship between the two clubs over the past 12 months.

Lucas Digne, Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes have all moved from the Camp Nou to Goodison Park, and the relationship between Everton and Barca could help in their efforts to sign Malcom.
