As Gustavo Scarpa continues to speak about his move to Nottingham Forest, he now had a word with ESPN Brasil about joining the Premier League side.
The midfielder was interviewed by the Bola da Vez show, which will only be aired on Monday. Still, they already released some teasers from it, and one of them is about the time he’s planning to spend in Europe.
As Brazilian players are used to making a return to their clubs once they get back from Europe, Scarpa was asked about coming back to Palmeiras in the future. The player, however, has his mind completely on what he’ll do at Nottingham Forest and what will come in the next few years.
“My dream is to spend years in Europe. To have a successful career there, in the same way I was successful here in Brazil. Today, my thought is to spend years in Europe,” Gustavo Scarpa told ESPN Brasil.
“I think for at least five years. That’s what I’d like. That’s my thinking today.”
Scarpa, however, also pointed out that things may change fast in life.
As pointed out by ESPN, Scarpa’s contract with Nottingham Forest is only valid from January, and with the Brazilian season ending this weekend, he’ll have some time off before joining the Reds’ squad. In an interview last night, he joked a little about the difficulty to understand the English accent.
